Intravesical pressure (IP) alterations evoked by carbachol into the fourth brain ventricle (4th V) in female rats

      Background/aims: Previous studies have shown the coexistence of neurons integrating cardiovascular control and urinary bladder activity motility in the pons and medulla. It is very known that medullary cholinergic neurons are involved in cardiovascular regulation, but it is unknown if they are also involved in urinary bladder control. This study aimed to investigate the effect of carbachol, a cholinergic agonist, into the 4th V on intravesical pressure of rats.
