Background: The baroreflex control of heart rate is reduced in diabetic mice (Lin et al. 2009,
2010). However, diabetes-induced anatomical changes of neural components within the
baroreflex arc are not well defined. Since the NA plays a key role in baroreflex bradycardia,
our goal was to examine NA projections to cardiac ganglia in STZ mice.
