Autonomic changes after successive bouts of maximal exercise in simulated rowing

      Background/Aim: High intensity exercise induces heart rate variability (HRV) reductions and chanes in autonomic balance towards symthetic dominance. The effects of one exercise bout on HRV recovery depends on intensity and duration. The aim of the present study was to investigate HRV recovery after two bouts of maximal exercise in highly fit subjects.
