Background: GPR91 and GPR99 are G-protein-coupled receptors which are activated by the citric
acid cycle intermediates succinate and α-ketoglutarate (αKG), respectively. Aim of
our study was to analyse expression and function of GPR91 and GPR99 in neuronal cells.
